ASTM F963-17 Toy Safety Compression Test Probe
Model F963-04 is a custom-designed probe by Ergonomics, created to meet the Compression Test requirements outlined in Clause 8.10 of the ASTM F963-17 Standard for Toy Safety. This standard helps prevent injuries and fatalities in children by ensuring toys meet strict mechanical and chemical safety guidelines.
The probe features a durable, anti-corrosion 300 Series stainless steel rigid metal disk with the following specifications:
- Outer Diameter: 1.125 in ± 0.015 in
- Thickness: 0.375 in
- Rounded Edge Radius: 1/32 in
- #10-32 male thread for optional force gauges
The disk is designed for attachment to a compression scale, ensuring the flat contact surface remains parallel to the surface under test, as required by Clause 8.10.
